BotBuddy privacy

BotBuddy is a free iPhone app: a catalog of helper cards you fill in and hand to an AI assistant you already use. This page says what happens to information.

The app does not collect data

There is no account. There are no ads, no purchases, and no analytics. BotBuddy does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location, and it does not send those to anyone.

What stays on your phone

All of the app's data stays on the device. Favorites, the dark or light look you pick, the assistants you turn on, and the words you type into a card stay on the phone. BotBuddy does not upload them. Deleting the app deletes everything the app stored.

The public catalog

When the app opens, and when you pull to refresh, it downloads two public files that are the same for everyone: the helper cards at botbuddy.pages.dev/botbuddy/helpers.json, and the Grok Bot marketplace list at botbuddy.pages.dev/botbuddy/marketplace.json. Those requests do not include your name or the words you typed into a card. Opening a marketplace bot only opens that bot's public page.

When you hand a prompt to an assistant

A filled-in card leaves the phone only when you tap Copy, Share, or Open in. It goes to the assistant you pick, with the login you already have for that assistant. BotBuddy does not run the AI, and it does not see the reply.

Email updates from the website

The email box on the BotBuddy homepage is optional. It is not part of the app. If you use it, your address is handled by Kit and is used only for BotBuddy updates. It is not sold. Each message has an unsubscribe link; use that link to leave the list.
